NU to host Gus Dur-Ikeda book discussion

A book titled Dialog Peradaban untuk Toleransi dan Perdamaian (Civilization
dialogue for tolerance and peace) will be a source of discussion at a
planned dialogue to be held at the Nahdlatul Ulama building on Jl.
Kramat Raya, Central Jakarta on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m.
The book is about former Indonesian president Abdurrahman "Gus Dur"
Wahid and the third president of the International Sokka Gakkai Movement
(SGI), an organization that practices Nichiren Buddhism.
These
two figures have both said peace becomes a message of every religion and
both have invited all religions to hold dialogues to achieve peace.
The discussion invites more than 200 figures including Nahdlatul
Ulama chairman Said Agil Siradj, National Education Minister Muhammad
Nuh, Wahid Institute director Yenny Zannuba Wahid and Sokka Gakkai
Indonesia chairman Peter Nurhan. (fem)
