President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is slated to meet Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei Darussalam at the State Palace in Jakarta on Thursday afternoon.

Several regional and international issues, including efforts to improve bilateral cooperation are likely to be discussed by the two leaders.

The Brunei Darussalam Navy recently granted two light warships to its Indonesian counterpart. The warships are currently stationed at the navy port in Pontianak, West Kalimantan.

Besides the state meeting, Yudhoyono will likely be busy with meetings with religious leaders.

Prior to the state meeting, Yudhoyono is scheduled to meet members of the board of the Indonesian Churches Association, and afterward is scheduled to meet members of the board of the Indonesia Islamic Mission Council (DDII).
