Police revealed that some of the terrorists responsible for last month’s book bombs came from well-off families.

"They are fairly well-off people and hold degrees," National Police deputy spokesman Sr. Comr. Boy Rafli Amar said Friday as quoted by tempointeraktif.com.

Boy refused to reveal the details of the people in question, but revealed that some of them had taken on disguises.

"Some of them pretend to be toy sellers," Boy said.

He also confirmed that one of the men, identified only as P, was the leader of the group.

The police arrested 19 people in seven different locations in their efforts to hunt down bomb suspects.

They arrested three suspects in Aceh, five in Bogor (West Java), three in Kramatjati (East Jakarta) and one in Rawamangun (East Jakarta). Officers also caught five suspects in Pondok Kopi (East Jakarta), one in Bekasi (West Java) and another in Tangerang (Banten).

“The role of each suspect is still being looked into," Boy said.

Based on investigations, Boy said that it was P who had made a documentary on the tsunami in Aceh and had intended to make a documentary of the bombing in Serpong to broadcast.(awd)
