Global TV cameraman Imam Firdaus, who was arrested for alleged involvement in terrorist activities, does not have a criminal record, police said.
“IF has never been on the police wanted list,” National Police Spokesman Sr. Comr. Boy Rafli Amar said Saturday, as quoted by tempointeraktif.com.
The police arrested Iman Firdaus on Friday for suspicion of involvement in the attempted bomb attack in Serpong, South Tangerang, Banten.
Imam’s name was obtained by investigators from the testimony of fellow Serpong bomb suspect Pepi Fernando, allegedly an alumnus of Syarif Hidayatullah Islamic University.
Pepi himself was arrested in Aceh on Thursday along with other two suspects identified by the initials J and F.(awd)
