Investigators will for seven days continue gleaning information on the alleged role of IF, a cameraman for private television Global TV, in terrorism.

If he is declared not guilty after a week of investigation, the National Police will have to release him, an officer said Saturday.

“If he has not violated the law, we will lift the detention,” National Police spokesperson Sr. Comr. Boy Rafli Amar said on Saturday.

He said that currently the police were investigating his possible involvement I the terrorism network and his possible violation of the terrorism law.

IF was arrested at his house in Jakarta on Friday morning. He was reportedly offered the task of filming the planned church attack in Serpong, as well as to look for an international media partner to broadcast the recording.
