Govt to escort almost 3,000 migrant workers home

The government has sent five officials to escort 2,927 Indonesian migrant workers with visa problems from Saudi Arabia to Indonesia.
“Data collection from all migrant workers will take place during the journey [home],” Indonesian Labor Placement and Protection Agency (BNP2TKI) chief Jumhur Hidayat said on Sunday as reported by tribunnews.com.
The officials, who will escort the workers for the voyage on board the Labobar Pelni, include returning migrant worker section Budiman Pasirbu, returning migrant worker identification section chief Tri Suwito and several data collection officials.
