Former Prosperous
Justice Party (PKS) founder Yusuf Supendi says he will sue the party’s senior
leaders for Rp 37 billion (US$4 million) for his wrongful dismissal.
“We will file our
lawsuit with the South Jakarta District Court on Thursday,” Yusuf lawyer, Dani
Saliswijaya, said on Monday as quoted by tribunnews.com.
Dani said his client’s
dismissal was illegitimate as Yusuf was not given a chance to defend himself.
“The PKS just told to
the media that Yusuf was sacked from the party,” he said.
Among the PKS senior
leaders to be sued are Hilmi Aminuddin, Luthfi Hasan Ishaaq, Anis Matta,
Mahfudz Siddiq, Tifatul Sembiring, Surahman Hidayat and Salim Segaf Al Jufri.
