Police have arrested seven more people in Aceh in relation to recent terrorist activity, National Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Boy Rafli Amar says.

The people were being detained at Aceh Police headquarters for further questioning, Boy said, identifying them only by the initials J, MZ, MN, MD, MF, SH and Z.

The seven were arrested in Gurah Peukan Village on Wednesday, in continuing investigations of a link to Fadli, a friend of Pepi Fernando, in whose house police found a sack of phosphorus and other raw chemicals that were said to have been used as raw materials to make bombs.

Pepi Fernando is an amateur documentary filmmaker alleged to have been the mastermind behind an attempt to the bomb a church in Tangerang on Good Friday.

Police have named Pepi, along with 16 other people, as suspects in a recent spate of terrorist activity in and around Jakarta.
