Jakarta Police to deploy 14,000 officers to safeguard May Day commemoration

The Jakarta Police plan to deploy its 14,000 personnel to safeguard the May Day commemoration that will involve thousands of workers from regions across the capital.

From that figure, the Jakarta Police’s media relation desk, as quoted by tribunnews.com on Sunday, reveals that 7,600 personnel will be placed on the field during the stage rallies while 1,300 otherS will be at ready and the rest of the force will be stationed at each police’s regional offices.

The security measures will be centered at the country’s state facilities like the State Palace, the Constitutional Court, the Supreme Court, the Transmigration and Manpower Ministry and the House of Representatives.

Most of these buildings are located in South and Central Jakarta.
