Tangerang paint factory employee dead in fire

An employee of a paint factory died and four others were injured during a blaze that engulfed the factory in Legok, Tangerang, on Tuesday.

Nurdin, 38, was trapped inside the factory building during the blaze. His four colleagues managed to escape, but they suffered severe burns and were taken to Qodr hospital in Karawaci, Tangerang.

The fire broke out at around 10.30 a.m. on Tuesday, and nine fire trucks were deployed to the scene. Firefighters managed to put out the blaze within 30 minutes.

Legok Police chief Adj. Comr. Rahmat said an investigation was underway as to the cause of the fire.
