Medan Police arrests alleged attackers of newspaper office

Medan Police has arrested 15 suspects who allegedly attacked the Harian Orbit daily newsaper offices after the newspaper published an article about new gambling methods used in the city.
The 15 men were arrested during a raid on PT Wahana Dewata Mandiri (WDM), a company the newspaper mentioned in the article.
The men were allegedly among the group of 20 who attacked the office.
“They were taken to the police office for further questioning,” West Medan Police chief Comr. Arke Ambat said Wednesday.
The attackers destroyed several computers and cabinets. The perpetrators also took possession of three cellular phones and beat up three newspaper employees.
