SBY to open ASEAN-EU business summit

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is scheduled to open the 1st ASEAN-European Union business summit in Jakarta on Thursday, as part of the ASEAN Summit that sees the installation of Indonesia as this year's chair of the regional grouping.

Investment opportunities, the enhancement of bilateral business cooperation, and solutions to obstacles between participating countries are expected to highlight discussions during the annual summit.

After launching the business summit, Yudhoyono is scheduled to meet Myanmar’s President U Thein Sein, followed by a meeting with a senior delegation, Yudhoyono's official website says, as quoted by tempointeraktif.com.

According to the website, the Yudhoyono's agenda for Thursday concludes with a state gala dinner held in honor of U Thein Sein's visit.
