2 journalists, 4 residents, police injured in C. Sulawesi clash

Two journalists were injured when they were caught in the middle of a brawl between residents of Pantoloan, Palu, and Wani, Donggala, in Central Sulawesi on Monday morning.
The pair, Indosiar reporter Fataruddin and MNC TV cameraman Putera Yosvidar, both were sustained bruising to their heads. Putera also was bruised on his right leg, kompas.com reported Monday.
No information was immediately available on the cause of the brawl.
Police officers reportedly fired warning shots and used tear gas to disperse the mob, but the violence escalated.
Residents said some people were shot and wounded by police firing rubber bullets.
The brawl was eventually brought under police control at 3 a.m. local time.
Some police officers were also injured during the clash.
Four residents, two from each of the opposing villages, also suffered minor injuries and were being treated at public health clinics.
