National Police Detachment 88 counterterrorism unit has announced finding 15 new pieces of evidence during a raid on the residence of Sigit Qordawi, a terrorist suspect who was shot dead by police in Surakarta last week, Central Java, a local community leader said Sunday.

Eyewitness and Brondongan neighborhood unit chief Sukarno said among the evidence found was Rp 53.2 million (US$ 6,201) in cash, Islamic books and a rifle.

“I remember that police found 15 pieces of evidence,” Sukarno said as quoted by Antara.

Police had seized the items for further investigation, he added.

Wiharto and Endang, Sigit's parents, had lived in this house but moved out soon after Sigit was shot.
