President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has announced plans to spend the day at his residence in the Puri Cikeas Indah housing complex, Bogor, following the issuance of a joint ministerial decree that declared Monday a holiday for civil servants.
“The President has no agenda for today. Thus he will likely to spend the day at home,” presidential spokesman Julian Aldrin Pasha said Monday as quoted by tempointeraktif.com.
Julian added, however, that there was a possibility Yudhoyono would summon ministers or party officials to his private residence if an important issue needed to be discussed.
State Apparatus, Empowerment and Administrative Reforms Minister EE Mangindaan, Religious Affairs Minister Suryadharma Ali and Labor and Transmigration Minister Muhaimin Iskandar issued the joint decree on Friday, declaring Monday an additional holiday, which was obligatory for civil servants and optional for others.
