We will find hacker, says National Police

The National Police says it will find whoever hacked into the National Police website recently.

"We will investigate and track down the culprit," National Police Spokesman Insp. Gen. Anton Bahrul Alam said Monday as quoted by tempointeraktif.com

The National Police website, www.polri.go.id has been offline since this afternoon. Visitors to the site have been redirected to http://www.polri.go.id/backend/index.html which displays an image of two people holding up a flag on a hill, followed by text in black calling on readers to jihad.

According to Anton, the hacker wanted to obstruct the police anititerrorism campaign.

On Saturday, police shot dead at least one terrorist suspect in Sukoharjo, Central java, named Hendro Yunianto.

Hendro was allegedly involved in a terrorism network blamed for the bombing of Pasar Kliwon and Cirebon Police Stations.
