Worker falls to death from 15th floor of Depok apartment

A man fell to his death from the 15th floor of the Margonda Residence Apartment building in Depok on Monday.

Beji Police chief Comr. Ngadi said the police were still waiting for the autopsy report from the local hospital.

“We are still investigating the cause of his death,” he said.

An eyewitness said that Anand, who had been painting the exterior of the building, had not been using safety equipment.

“He was painting the walls and then suddenly slipped and fell,” the witness said.

The police said that there were signs that Anand, 21, had attempted to halt his fall. They said that there were long streaks made by fingers in the fresh paint on the section of wall where he had fallen from.
