House urges Nazaruddin to follow legal process

House deputy speaker Priyo Budi Santoso has urged Nazaruddin to obey the legal process in efforts to set a good example to the general public.

“I expect all legislators to obey the legal process, including by returning from abroad if their presence is required by law enforcers,” Priyo said Friday, inferring legislator and former Democratic Party treasurer Muhammad Nazaruddin.

The statement was made following the departure of Nazaruddin to Singapore a day before the Justice and Human Rights Ministry issued a travel ban on him.

Earlier, KPK investigators had requested the travel ban as they planned to question Nazaruddin as witness in the SEA Games graft case.
