A cache of materials for making bombs were found in a raid on Sunday at the residence of a suspect recently detained in connection with the shooting of three police officers in Palu, Central Sulawesi, last week.
A group of four men had opened fire at three policemen manning a guard post in front of a bank in Palu on Wednesday. Two of the three policemen died in the attack.

"During the raid [on Sunday] we found materials for making bombs including sulfur, pipes and materials to fill bombs with," Anton said Monday.
Besides Haryanto, police also arrested a second suspect, Firdaus.
Anton said police had also found a T-handle screwdriver which police suspect had been used in auto theft.
He further said police were continuing their search for two other suspects, Dayat (aka “Fauzan”) and Farouk, who fled into the forest area of Poso.
"A search is underway and we urge the fugitives to surrender," he said.
