(Antara/Fanny Octavianus)Youth and Sports Minister Andi Malarangeng was questioned by Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigators for about three hours on Tuesday.

"I have given the information to the KPK and I have also given the information regarding the questions asked," he said after exiting the KPK’s offices in South Jakarta.

Andi was questioned about allegations that ministry secretary Wafid Muarram accepted bribes from businessman Muhammad El Idris and middleman Mindo Rosalina to award a contract to build the athlete’s dormitory for the upcoming South East Asia Games in Palembang, South Sumatra.

Andi said that he did not know about any money allegedly used to make a so-called interim payment for the project.

"I have never received a report and it’s not ministerial policy," he said.

The suspects alleged that more than Rp 3 billion in checks had been used to make the interim payment.

Andi said that he was not the person who reported the case to the KPK.
