The Jakarta Police says that traffic issues in the city can be resolved by reducing the number of vehicles.
“We are planning to launch a program to reduce the number of vehicles,” Jakarta Police traffic directorate chief Sr. Comr. Royke Lumowa said Tuesday.
Royke said reducing the number of vehicles has been proven to be an effective policy to manage traffic in industrialized countries.
“By reducing the number of vehicles, we can also save on gas,” he said.
