ANDARLAMPUNG: The director of narcotics at the Lampung Police, Sr. Comr. Lukas Ari Dwikoutomo, said on Thursday that they had detained an officer of the Way Hui detention center, Sri Eka, for selling 5 grams of crystal methamphetamine.
“Sri was caught red-handed by police officers who pretended to buy the crystal meth in the parking lot of a shopping center in Bandarlampung on Monday at about 4:45 p.m.,” Lukas said as quoted by Antara. He added that, in addition to Sri Eka, the Lampung Police had also detained Mad Supi, Sri’s partner in crime.
The police confiscated a 5-gram package of crystal meth, another smaller crystal meth package and a bong in the arrest.
Both Sri and Supri have been charged under two articles of the narcotics law and could face up to 20 years’ imprisonment.
Lukas said the arrest was facilitated by a citizen’s report made to the narcotics call center at the local police.
According to him, there was no indications of involvement by detainees or other detention center guards in the case. — JP
