Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigators searched the South Sumatra Public Works for evidence in their investigation of graft allegations surrounding the upcoming SEA Games, which involved Youth and Sports Ministry secretary Wafid Muharram, a spokesman said.

“We have been searching the place since this morning,” KPK spokesman Johan Budi said without further elaboration on Wednesday as quoted by kompas.com.

He said the Public Works office head, Rizal Abdullah, had also been summoned as a witness in the case. South Sumatra police officers assisted in the search.

The KPK has named three suspects in the case, Mindo Rosalina Manulang, Muhammad El Idris and Wafid Muharram. The latter, the former Youth and Sports Affairs Ministry secretary, was arrested by KPK investigators after reportedly receiving traveler checks worth Rp 3.2 billion (US$374,400) from Mindo and Idris.
