National Conference on Corruption Eradication begins
The two-day National Conference on Corruption Eradication, organized by the Manpower and Transmigration Ministry, began on Wednesday.
Opened by the Manpower and Transmigration Minister Muhaimin Iskandar, the event will feature speakers from state institutions including the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK), the Attorney's General Office (AGO), the Administrative Reforms Ministry, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), the National Police.
Muhaimin said the conference aimed to rid manpower and transmigration programs from corruption.
"The conference is a concrete step toward preventing corruption and minimizing violations of regulations implemented by the government," the minister said on Wednesday morning.
Muhaimin added that his ministry had been working to eradicate corruption by strengthening the ministry's supervision and internal controls systems. (fem)
