TANGERANG: The Tangerang municipal administration says it will build more than 1,000 toilets for low-income families in two densely-populated neighborhoods near Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.

“The family toilets will be built in Benda and Neglasari districts,” Tangerang Public Works chief Dadang Durahman said on Thursday.

Tangerang’s toilet program has built 503 toilets in 12 sub-districts since its inception in 2001.

“Based on data from the Health Agency, most of the residents living in the two districts don’t have toilets,” he said. — JP
