The National Police stated that terrorism suspect, Budi Untung Wisesa, had died due to coronary failure.
Budi was one of the 18 suspects implicated in the drive-by shooting of police officers in Palu, Central Sulawesi.
According to National Police chief of health Brig. Gen. Musadeq Ishak, Budi died on Sunday, just after being arrested.
"He fainted in the car when the investigators were taking him to the Bhayangkara Hospital in Bandung," he said on Tuesday.
Budi was arrested in Soreang, Bandung, on June 10.
He added that doctors at the emergency ward were unable to save Budi.
Thus, the police took Budi's remains to the National Police Hospital in Kramat Jati, East Jakarta, for autopsy.
"The forensic team found that coronary artery blockage caused him to suffer a heart attack, which was the cause of his death," he said.
Budi's death brings the number of the group of suspected terrorists who have died to three. Two others were shot and killed in a police raid in Poso, Central Sulawesi.
