The lawyers of Pollycarpus, who was convicted for the murder of human rights activist Munir, is set to present new evidence in court on Wednesday in efforts to challenge a 20-year imprisonment sentence handed down by the Supreme Court.
In the first hearing of the case review last week, the lawyers elaborated on oddities in the case that had disadvantaged their client Pollycarpus.
M. Assegaf, who heads Pollycarpus' team of lawyers, said witnesses would be called in for the hearing on Wednesday.
"There will be two witnesses. But we cannot name them yet," Assegaf said Tuesday.
Pollycarpus is alleged to have murdered Munir by adding arsenic to Munir's drink at Singapore's Changi airport.
An initial trial at Central Jakarta District Court had Pollycarpus to 14 years in prison.
After a string of appeals that followed the initial sentencing, in 2008 the Supreme Court handed Pollycarpus 20 years in prison.
