Angelina Sondakh, a Democratic Party legislator, denies involvement in the SEA Games athletes' dormitory construction bribery case, an accusation made by former treasurer Muhammad Nazaruddin.

“As announced by the faction chief, I am innocent in this case,” Angelina, whose late husband Adjie Massaid was also a Democratic Party legislator, said Saturday as quoted by tempointeraktif.com.

She added that she was open to questioning by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

“We won’t disrupt the ongoing investigation conducted by the KPK, will we,” she said.

Nazaruddin mentioned Angelina’s name, along with I Wayan Koster from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) and party colleague Mirwan Amir, as the real actors behind the SEA Games athlete's dormitory bribery case.

He mentioned these names through a text message sent to a tempointeraktif journalist a couple days ago.

The KPK has named three people suspect in the Rp 3.2 billion bribery case. They are Wafid Muharram, former secretary of the Youth and Sports Ministry, Mindo Rosalina Manulang, marketing director of PT Anak Negeri, and Muhammad El Idris, a general manager at PT Duta Graha Indah.Angelina Sondakh, a Democratic Party legislator, denies involvement in the SEA Games athletes' dormitory construction bribery case, an accusation made by former treasurer Muhammad Nazaruddin.
