SBY to okay 4-year term for Busyro

The President will issue a decree allowing incumbent Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) chairman Busyro Muqoddas to serve a full 4-year term, according to a top official.
“The President will issue a decree specifying that Busyro’s term will end in 2014,” Denny Indrayana, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono’s special assistant for legal affairs, said on Tuesday.
The decree will followed a Constitutional Court ruling allowing Busyro to serve a full term as King the year remaining in the term of former chairman Antasari Azhar, now imprisoned for murder.
Denny said that the Court’s decision was a vote of confidence in Busryo’s work at the KPK. “I personally think that the court’s decision is also important because of the integrity of Busyro in eradicating corruption,” he said.
