Text your say: Bali has the best environment?

A- A A+

Your comments on the results of a government study showing that that Bali has the best environment of all the provinces, despite criticism of its severe land and water pollution:

Well, we can’t generalize all areas in Bali to be as bad as Kuta. Traffic jams and garbage in crowded places like Kuta make sense. It is a problem but it’s not that extraordinary.

And there are many places in Bali that are not polluted. Our duty is to maintain these places while fixing polluted places like Kuta.

I think Bali is the most beautiful province in Indonesia because it’s unique and it has a lot of stunning scenery.

Its beaches are the best and are also well taken care of.

It’s also one of the provinces that still holds to its original culture, but keeps up with the new era. So, by that I think Bali is the most beautiful province.

In spite of the criticism, it is reasonable for Bali to be regarded as having the best environment because Bali has created an image of itself being the Paradise Island and its environment must be well kept as a consequence.

I disagree because there are many other areas that have beautiful and amazing scenery such as Lombok. Lombok is a beautiful island. There are many beaches with crystal clear water and virgin forests.

Lombok has quite a small population and thus fewer hands that can damage its environment.

If Bali is considered to have the best environment of all provinces, it must be a result of, among other things, the readiness of the Balinese people to adopt the Pancasila and Bhineka Tunggal Ika as their principles. The influence of western tourists has been a “big plus” for the Balinese. Let us keep on going in this direction.

What a contrast! Has the same study been carried out thoroughly in other provinces too? If the study is proven unreliable, it would just add to the already shameful image of the government.

Our government should be open to see the reality and put aside the past images of wonderful Bali years ago and do something real to save the today’s damage to the island instead of damaging our country’s image.

Throw your waste out and keep your home clean. This is the theory people follow. Indeed Bali is environmentally clean as far as they think the sea acts like a vacuum cleaner for their waste.
