JAKARTA: Senior singer Utha Likumahuwa may not be able to sing again after a recent heart attack, a doctor says.
Utha’s doctor, Christ U. Rumantir, explained the singer also had blood clots on his brain because of the sudden attack.
“It attacked his left brain, which controls speech. I hope he will still be able to sing,” Christ said as quoted by detik.com recently.
The 55-year-old is currently in intensive care at a hospital in Pekanbaru, Riau.
Utha’s heart attack also took his wife Deby by surprise, as she wasn’t aware he had a weak heart.
The family only knows that the singer, who is famous for his hit Puncak Asmara (Romance Top), has a diabetic problem.
The doctor team believes the heart attack was caused by extreme fatigue. — JP
