The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) says investigators have detained Ridwan Sanjaya, an Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry official, on graft allegations.
Another ministry official, Jacob Purwono, was also a suspect in the case, KPK spokesman Johan Budi said on Friday night.
Ridwan, who oversaw the implementation of business commitments at the ministry, was questioned about his role in procuring Rp 526 billion (US$61.54 million) of home solar energy system equipment for the government.
“Early estimates tell us that the case involves Rp 131 billion in state losses,” he said.
Ridwan said that "everybody" should be held accountable for the case.
“And I mean everybody,” he said, when asked if Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry Zahedy Saleh might be involved in the graft allegations.
