Liuzhou eyes MPV, SUV components from Indonesia

Liuzhou City, one of the most important auto manufacturing bases in China, offers Indonesian producers to export automotive spare parts and components to Liuzhou, according to a Liuzhou official.
“We expect to import particularly MPV and SUV components from Indonesia, because their quality meets our demands,” Gu Zhangwei, Liuzhou director-general of trade commission, told reporters on Tuesday in Jakarta.
Gu said the need of components and parts in Liuzhou reached US$5.1 billion a year, which has 11 car manufacturers and 600 component and part manufacturers.
Thus far, Liuzhou’s capacity to produce components and parts has reached around 60 percent, according to Gu. (swd)
