Your comments on an NGO’s offer of Rp 100 million (US$11,700) to anyone who could locate and catch Muhammad Nazaruddin, a corruption fugitive:
Something looks strange in this case. However, welcome back to the old era of organizing sayembara (competition).

Add two more zeros to Rp 100 million to get him caught.

Nazaruddin is on the Interpol wanted list (see their website), placed there by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK)! So, once you spot him anywhere in the world, you can report him and, bingo, Rp 100 million.

The public offer from an NGO of a reward for whoever can catch Nazaruddin, is just a gesture of concern. It is easy to locate his whereabouts, but to catch him will be a problem. This is a matter of international law and diplomatic relations.

Don’t waste your money! It’s better for us to allocate such amounts of money for education. Let the government do their duty bringing Nazaruddin back.

Nazarudin is like an eel. That’s why it’s not easy for the police to catch him. It’s like gambling to offer Rp 100 million as a bonus to whoever can catch him.
Perhaps someone will find Nazarudin’s hiding place, but before he reports his finding to the NGO, Nazarudin will offer much more money, let’s say Rp 200 million, for not telling anyone else. I think the offer shows that the government has nearly given up hope.

It is totally embarrassing that an NGO has offered Rp 100 million to catch Nazaruddin (once and for all) to dig deeper into our corruption system. So these people just can’t stand it anymore.

Rp 100 million is too much for such a crook like Nazaruddin. It would be better spent on the poor. Sooner or later this crook will meet his end.

Don’t be prejudiced! It’s clear that the offer intends to eradicate corruption in Indonesia

An NGO offering an Rp 100 million reward for Nazaruddin’s arrest is a slap on the face of the government, the KPK and the National Police. It shows their incapability in pursuing and catching the graft suspect.

Regardless of the amount of a reward for his “capture”, I doubt that this will eventuate, as I believe there are too many in high places who are fearful of the consequences if Nazaruddin is returned and provided with a public forum on which to really “spill the beans”.
I suspect there are some very nervous people in very high places right now. But, as SBY says, it is “all lies” and a “media plot” against the Dems.
