Nine arrested after street fight in S. Jakarta

JAKARTA: Jakarta Police have arrested nine suspects following a brawl involving members of two mass organizations in South Jakarta.
A street fight broke out early Wednesday on Jl. Pondok Pinang, in Ciputat Raya on the border between Jakarta and South Tangerang.
Police had to disperse the crowd with tear gas.
The street brawl ended around 3:30 a.m., on Wednesday.
Jakarta Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Baharudin Djafar said that police were still trying to identify which mass organizations were involved in the riot.
“Once we find out which organizations were involved, we can summon their leaders for questioning,” he said.
