A ride at Dunia Fantasi amusement park in North Jakarta stalled on Wednesday evening, creating a panic among the 15 passengers on board.
Park operator PT Taman Impian Jaya Ancol spokeswoman Sofia Cakti assured that the stalled ride, called the Tornado, caused no casualties.
The Tornado stopped at around 6 p.m. Its lights went out as well. The passengers were then evacuated from the ride reportedly using ladders.
"We apologize for any inconvenience to visitors," Sofia said in a written statement on Wednesday.
"None of the passengers fell from the ride because they were locked in with seat belts," she added.
Sofia said the park's technical staff had conducted a follow-up inspection of the ride until around midnight.
"The police also conducted an inspection of the ride to determine the cause of the disruption," Sofia said, as reported by tempointeraktif.com.
