Letter: US policy in the Middle East

A- A A+

Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Libya, Iran and Syria speak for themselves.

If you read US major newspapers, only the war in the Mideast is frequently displayed on front pages. The results are the destruction of infrastructure in Mideast nations.

Are leaders of the Mideast nations so stupid or corrupt not to see that their countries, where the war is on front pages of US newspapers every morning?

Or is Islam just a bad religion and do Muslims around the globe need to convert?

The US is only out to disarm those nations for regime change in US terms through foreign aid/secretly supporting uprisings or other propaganda lies/excuses in news media, taking advantage of terrorist activities and groups to accomplish their political objectives and increase pressure on the other countries.

Why? It is because the US is committed to Israel’s security in Mideast, and Israel’s security is defined as Israel’s being superior in Mideast in term of military might. How to achieve this is simple — it is what the US has been doing for decades, and is known as double standards:

The US supplies Israel with the most advanced weapons, pushes regime changes and disarms the other Mideast nations seen as threats by Israel.

White House support for Middle East “uprisings” depends on how and whether they can be used against Iran (other US agenda). An American academic says the US and its allies will spare no effort to prevent democracy in the Arab world, as they fear losing their clout in the region.

The reason is very simple, the US and its allies don’t want governments that are responsive to the will of the people like in Iran. If that happens, not only will the US not control the region, but it will be thrown out.

According to a WikiLeaks cable, the Syrian government placed long-range missiles armed with chemical warheads on high alert after the attack but did not retaliate fearing an Israeli nuclear counterstrike after operation orchard, 2007.

Forget the Palestinians statehood, it is a dead end. The US and its unbreakable bond with Israel outmaneuvered Palestinians to a dead-end through fruitless endless talks.

It is only the speech about the border 1967 plan which has already been rejected by Israel.
