Sari Roti denies involvement in Nazaruddin ‘bread jingle’

Bread manufacturer Sari Roti, whose commercial jingle was heard during a TV interview with former Democrat Party treasurer Muhammad Nazaruddin, has denied that it had any role in the jingle being heard on TV.

“PT Nippon Indosari Corpindo Tbk. [Sari Roti] has officially confirmed that it is not our corporate policy or marketing strategy to be involved in this kind of publicity,” production director Yusuf Hadi said in a press statement sent to The Jakarta Post on Tuesday.

Yusuf was referring to an article published in The Jakarta Post website last week, titled “I didn’t hear the bread jingle: TV presenter”, which suggesting that the video had been engineered as part of a marketing strategy by the local bread company
