Aggressive RI leads 3-0 after first half

Host Indonesia is leading by an aggressive 3-0 in the first half against Turkmenistan in the second leg match of soccer World Cup qualifiers second phase at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Central Jakarta on Thursday.

Buoyed by a partisan home crowd, striker Cristian Gonzales scored goals in the tenth minute with the help of winger Muhammad Ridwan, and in the 18th with the assist of forward Boaz Solossa. Muhammad Nasuha scored Indonesia’s third in the 42nd.

The 87,000-seat stadium was almost filled to capacity. — JP
