President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on Thursday held a silaturahmi (friendship meeting) with heads of state institutions, at the State Palace in Jakarta.
The meeting began at 10 a.m., and was attended by People’s Consultative Assembly Speaker Taufik Kiemas, Supreme Court chief Harifin Tumpa, Constitutional Court chief Mahfud MD, Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) head Hadi Purnomo and Judicial Commission chairman Erman Suparman.
Vice President Boediono was also in attendance.
The meeting was aimed at improving communication and coordination between the institutions, and discussed a number of recent national issues.
Similar meetings were held earlier this year at the BPK and Constitutional Court headquarters in January and April, Antara state news wire reported Thursday.
