The House of Representatives working committee on general elections violations says it will make a recommendation on the Constitutional Court (MK) forgery case soon after resuming the hearings, according to a legislator.
“We will give the recommendation to the National Police with the hope that it will be further checked,” committee member Budiman Sudjatmiko said on Saturday as quoted by Tempointeraktif.com.
Another member, Abdul Malik Haramain, said confronting all witnesses would be next on the agenda, which he expected to happen after the House recess.
Budiman added that the committee had planned to give their recommendations to the MK and General Elections Commission (KPU) to improve both institutions' performances.
The committee has cooperated with the police in the letter forgery case. The police have named Mashuri Hasan as the sole suspect in this case. Hasan is considered responsible because he delivered the forged letter to the KPU.
However, the police have said they could name more suspects soon.
