Nazaruddin is on a plane home: police

The National Police said captured fugitive graft suspect Muhammad Nazaruddin was currently on a chartered plane heading to Indonesia.

National Police spokesman Insp. Gen. Anton Bachrul Alam said Thursday that he had difficulty contacting the team assigned to collect Nazaruddin, most probably because they were on a flight.

"I haven't made contact with the team members because their mobile phones are switched off. They probably on a plane," Anton said Thursday.

He said that the chartered plane would land at Jakarta’s Halim Perdanakusuma airport, but did not specify when. (rcf)
