According to the Foreign Ministry, graft suspect Muhammad Nazaruddin left El Dorado Airport in Bogota, Colombia, on Thursday at around 5 p.m. local time.
“The flight from Colombia to Jakarta will take around 30 hours. Nazaruddin is thus expected to arrive [in Indonesia] on Saturday morning, at around 11 a.m.,” ministry spokesman Michael Tene told The Jakarta Post on Friday.
However, Michael said he was not sure where the chartered plane would land on reaching Indonesia.
“We can either use Soekarno-Hatta International Airport or Halim Perdana Kusuma Airport. It is entirely up to the team,” he said.
Nazaruddin, the former Democratic Party treasurer, was named a graft suspect by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) around two months ago. However, he managed to evade investigation and left Indonesia shortly before the KPK named him a graft suspect.
