Indonesian Corruption Watch (ICW) deputy coordinator Emerson Yuntho says President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is discriminative in his management of graft suspects.
“SBY has ordered the police to arrest Nazaruddin, but not graft suspects such as Nunun Nurbaetie and Anggoro Widjojo, who remain on the loose,” Emerson told a discussion on Saturday as reported by tribunnews.com.
Yudhoyono had on several occasions ordered the law enforcers to firmly address Nazaruddin, who managed to flee the country just a day before the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) issued a travel ban.
Nunun Nurbaetie, the wife of Comr. Gen. (ret) Adang Daradjatun, former national police deputy chief who is now a Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) lawmaker, also avoided further questioning by the KPK on health reasons. Nunun has been named suspect by the KPK due to her role in the central bank senior deputy governor election’s bribery case that involved dozens of lawmakers and other officials.
Anggoro Widjojo is a graft suspect of a telecommunications device graft case involving important officials.
