Cousin ready to talk about Nazaruddin passport

The cousin of Muhammad Nazaruddin said he is ready to talk to the graft suspect if investigators want to know how Nazaruddin got his passport.

“Syarifudin never gave his passport to Nazaruddin. He is willing to meet Nazaruddin if investigators want,” Syarifuddin’s lawyer, Abdul Hadi, said on Monday.

Abdul Hadi said Syarifuddin last used his passport on July 27 when he accompanied his grandmother to Penang, Malaysia for medical treatmen.

“After that, Syarifuddin forgot where he kept his passport.”

While Syarifuddin did travel to Singapore and Penang, Malaysia, Abdul Hadi said, he never met Nazaruddin overseas.

“You can check with the immigration office,” Abdul Hadi said.

The police released Syarifuddin after finding no evidence that he intentionally gave his passport to Nazaruddin.
