Govt offices open during joint leave

DENPASAR: City offices and agencies that provide direct services to the public will remain open during the joint leave days prior to and after Idul Fitri on Aug. 30 and 31.

The central government named Monday, Aug. 29, Thursday, Sept. 1 and Friday, Sept. 2, as joint leave days, giving the civil servants a full week’s vacation.

“In Denpasar we instructed agencies and offices to remain open and provide services as usual. It is part of our effort to deliver excellent service to the public,” city spokesperson Ida Bagus Rahoela said.

Affected offices include permit and license agencies.

“Residents who want to apply for ID cards, business licenses or permits will not have to wait until the vacation ends,” he said.
