DENPASAR: Denpasar Mayor Ida Bagus Rai Dharmawijaya Mantra will fly to the United States to participate in an executive education training program at Harvard University in Boston, along with 18 regents and three mayors from across the nation.
The training scholarship is a cooperation initiative between the Home Ministry and the university.
Rai Mantra was granted the scholarship due to his exceptional performance during a leadership orientation program held by the ministry in March.
“The Denpasar mayor is the only regency-level leader in Bali selected for the Harvard program. We believe this achievement is closely related to various programs and initiatives the mayor has launched to improve public services in the city,” Denpasar administration spokesperson Ida Bagus Rahoela said.
The one-month training will start in mid-September.
At the end of the training, the participants will conduct a field trip to North Carolina and Washington, DC.
