Dicky Chandra is still my deputy: Garut Regent

Garut Regent Aceng HM Fikri on Monday affirmed that Dicky Chandra was still the current deputy regent and urged his staff to ignore recent news on his resignation.

“I firmly declare that until this moment, Dicky Chandra is still the Garut deputy regent,” Aceng said during a civil servant event on Monday as quoted by kompas.com.

He also expressed his concerns that the negative news could disrupt their work.

“Leave it to us to deal with this problem. Don’t let it disrupt your duties as a civil servants to devote yourself to the nation and provide the best services to the public,” Aceng said.

Dicky Chandra, who was also present at the function, submitted a resignation letter last week.

Dicky cited differences with the regent as his reason for stepping down.
