The case review of former Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) chairman Antasari Azhar is scheduled to resume on Tuesday at South Jakarta District Court, where prosecutors are expected to read out their response to evidence brought forward last week, which had allegedly been ignored during Antasari's initial trial.
During a hearing last week, Antasari and his defense team laid out three pieces of evidence that could exonerate Antasari. He has been charged with 18 years imprisonment for allegedly masterminding the murder of businessman Nasaruddin Zulkarnaen.
"Yes, we are ready to read out [the response]," South Jakarta Prosecutor's Office chief Masyhudi said Tuesday as reported by tribunnews.com.
Besides presenting new evidence, Antasari also pointed out 48 alleged errors made by judges in his trial, which form the basis of the request for a case review.
