The National Police says it will follow up on allegations of graft at the Health Ministry and National Education Ministry related to a mark up in the procurement of health-related training tools at schools.

"We have coordinated with the Corruption Eradication Commission [on this case]. For this corruption case involving the two ministries, the National Police will be in charge of the investigation," National Police chief detective Comr. Gen. Sutarman said Wednesday as quoted by kompas.com.

Sutarman did not explain the estimated losses incurred in the graft.

However, he said police investigators had questioned more than 100 witnesses and would be ready to name several suspects soon.
